An emerging Dredging Company with a plan to be one of the major players in that industry in Nigeria is seeking the services of a qualified and experienced Project Manager (Dredging).
Responsibilities
Responsible for scoping dredging projects and contributing to the development of client presentations based on brief received
Provide support for the Business Development team in compiling and delivering presentations to prospects and clients
Overall responsibility for project design and planning for all sanctioned dredging projects
Develop project budget and schedule in line with approved contract terms

Develop contractor/vendor evaluation standards and monitor performance throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure the procurement of all required permits and ensure compliance with all statutory regulations
As custodian, ensure strict compliance to all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards on every project
Ensure purposeful execution of the project plan ensuring all projects are delivered on time, to quality standard and within budget
Promote awareness within project team of project objectives and key performance criteria, ensuring continuous engagement with the team throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure the delivery of all reports, data and information concerning the progress of every project within the agreed timeframe and frequency
Develop and maintain project interface management plan to effectively integrate project phases and stakeholders’ interest

Participate actively in key technical decisions which are critical to project success and the management of change procedures where required.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk and opportunity register to mitigate negative impact and maximize opportunity
Implement and oversee a document management system that ensures proper control and seamless storage and retrieval
Act as coach for the project management team, ensuring all team members’ performance is monitored and development needs identified and implemented.
Act as liaison with all internal functions, ensuring the effective coordination of activities towards project execution and delivery
Qualifications for Project Manager (Dredging)
Must have a Civil Engineering or other relevant Engineering degree, a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage. Must have a recognised Project Management certification and must be a qualified engineer (NSE or COREN).

Must have up to fifteen years relevant experience with at least five years in a senior supervisory or managerial position in a dredging operation.
Must be able to showcase dredging projects successfully executed over the years
