Approved Airlines for Lagos/Abuja International Flights

The following are the approved airlines for Lagos/Abuja international flights scheduled to commence operations from September 5, 2020, according to Ministry of Aviation.

In a document OgaCEO obtained, a total of 24 airlines make the list. 14 operators got approval, 8 didn’t get approval, 2 remaining operators status could not be verified because international flights are not yet resumed in their respective countries.

List of approved airline operators, destination in Nigeria, and destination country and restrictions policy on Nigerians:

  1. Middle East Airline, Lagos Airport only; to Lebanon; allows entry under COVID-19 protocols.
  2. British Airways, Lagos and Abuja Airport; to the United Kingdom; allows entry under COVID-19 protocols.
  3. Delta Airlines, Lagos Airport only; to the United States of America; No entry restrictions.
  4. Qatar Airways, Lagos Airport only; to Qatar; allows entry under COVID-19 protocols.
  5. Ethiopian Airlines, Lagos and Abuja Airport; to Ethiopia; allows entry under COVID-19 protocols.
  6. Egypt Air, Lagos and Abuja airport; to Egypt; allows entry under COVID-19 protocols.
  7. Air Peace, Lagos; to Nigeria; no entry restrictions.
  8. Virgin Atlantic, Lagos Airport only; to United Kingdom; allows entry under COVID-19 protocols.
  9. Asky Airlines, Lagos and Abuja Airport; to Togo; allows entry under COVID-19 protocols.
  10. Africa World Airways, Lagos and Abuja; to Ghana; allows entry under COVID-19 protocols.
  11. Air Cote d’ivoire, Lagos and Abuja; to Cote d‘ivoire; allows entry under COVID-19 protocols.
  12. Kenya Airways, Lagos Airport; to Kenya; two weeks quarantine.
  13. Emirates Airlines, Lagos and Abuja Airport; to United Arab Emirates; allows entry under COVID-19 protocols.
  14. Turkish Airlines, Lagos and Abuja Airport; to Turkey; allows entry under COVID-19 protocols.

APPLY FOR A 3-MONTHS FREE TRAINING STARTING OCTOBER 5. APPLICATION CLOSES September 11, 2020.

  1. Air France, Lagos and Abuja airport; to France; tourist visa holders not allowed entry.
  2. KLM Royal Dutch, Lagos airport only; to Netherlands; tourist visa holders not allowed entry.
  3. Eithad Airways, Lagos airport only; to United Arab Emirate; Abu Dhabi open to citizens and residents only.
  4. Rwanda Air, Lagos and Abuja airport; to Rwanda; allows entry under COVID-19 protocols.
  5. Air Namibia, Lagos airport only; to Namibia; not applicable as international flights not resumed.
  6. Royal Air Maroc, Lagos Airport only; to Morocco; resumes international flights October 9, 2020.
  7. Lufthansa, Lagos and Abuja airport; to Germany; tourist visa holders not allowed entry.
  8. Cabo Verde, Lagos Airport only; to Cabo Verde; not applicable as international flights not resumed.
  9. TAAG Angola, Lagos airport only; to Angola; not applicable as international flights not resumed.
  10. South African Airways, Lagos airport only; to South Africa; not applicable as international flights not resumed and yet to be released COVID-19 health protocols.
